Over
300 years ago the citadel's master builder included a big arched cellar
into the secred passage ways of the fortress. That room is at least 200
years older than the citadel itself. Supposidly it was the basement of a
vitner's home. In mediaeval times people grew vine at the slopes of St.
Peters' Hights.
The cellar can be visited in guided fortress tours.
